6. Company and Contact InformationLinkDoc is a document reading program for the Palm Computing Platform. It reads the "Doc" format databases, the standard in PalmOS large text documents. LinkDoc also supports bookmarks and adds the ability to create links within and between documents. LinkDoc is unique as it leaves a maximum amount of the window available for reading, while still providing some useful navigation buttons and status indicators at the bottom of the screen.
If you need help in the application, please press the "i" at the top of almost any screen.
If LinkDoc is unregistered, it will launch into the "bug me" screen in order to remind you that you have not registered your version of LinkDoc. If you tap the "register later" button, you will be launched into either documents list or an open document, depending on where you closed the application last time.
The Main screen of the LinkDoc application is the document list. This list displays the currently selected document with an arrow next to the name. Tapping the "Open" button will open the selected document and tapping the "Properties" button will view the properties of the selected document. To change the selected document, tap the area to the left of the doument. You can also select a document for opening by tapping on the name of the document.
Select to "open" the document as described in the "Document List" section above.
The 'Appointment' and 'Memo' hard keys page the document up and down. The 'Phone' and 'To Do' hard keys move the document up and down a single line. Tapping on the progress scale, in normal button mode, causes the document to jump to the selected position. Words that are highlighted represent links to bookmarks in the current document, or in other documents. Jump to the link by tapping within the highlighted area. Links are modified by highlighting the entire link selection.
Bookmarks are set to return to the top position of the current screen. If a word is selected in the document, it will be copied into the bookmark caption. A paste menu option is also available to the Bookmark form. The maximum length of a bookmark caption is 16 characters.On-line Registration

Registration by Mail
You can register LinkDoc by sending a check for $9.95 made out to Mobile Generation
Software to the address blow. Also include the name of the software you
are registering, your PalmOS username, and your email address. Your LinkDoc
registration code will be emailed to you within 1 working after receipt.

Because of the various hardware and software environments in which Mobile LinkDoc may be utilized, NO WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS OFFERED.
Good data processing procedure dictates that any program be thoroughly tested with non-critical data before relying on it. The user must assume the entire risk of using the program. ANY LIABILITY OF THE SELLER WILL BE LIMITED EXCLUSIVELY TO PRODUCT REPLACEMENT OR REFUND OF PURCHASE PRICE.
Evaluation and Registration
Mobile LinkDoc is not free software. Subject to the terms below, you are
hereby licensed to use Mobile LinkDoc software for evaluation purposes for 30
days only. If you use this software after the 30 day evaluation period,
a registration fee of $9.95 is required. Please see the registration
process section for more information on registering Mobile LinkDoc.
Unregistered use of Mobile LinkDoc after the 30 day evaluation period is in
violation of US and international copyright laws.
Distribution
You are hereby licensed to make as many copies of the this software and documentation as you wish; give exact copies of the original version to anyone; and distribute the software and documentation in its unmodified form via electronic means. All the original documents and files must remain intact and unchanged. There is no charge for any of the above.
You are specifically prohibited from charging, or requesting donations, for any such copies, however made; and from distributing the software and/or documentation with other products (commercial or otherwise) without prior written permission.
Registered Version
One registered copy of Mobile LinkDoc may only be used by a single person on one Palm Computing Platform Device. Since the registration code is derived from the PalmOS user name, a new registration code is required for each Palm Computing Platform device.
